Scotland

A while back I went with my boyfriend Ben and his family to spend a week in Scotland to celebrate his dads birthday. We had an amazing time taking long walks, visiting the castles, ghostly pubs and eating lovely food.
The landscape is absolutely stunning there so it was a perfect opportunity for me to test out my new camera which Ben got me for my birthday.

Beautiful gothic architecture at Inverary castle.

This was my favourite spot, total magnificent lord of the rings moment.

My friend the high land cow! I also chased some wild mountain goats but they weren't as keen to see me as I was to see them,so unfortunately I never got to cuddle them..

The Wells family.

A ceiling of taxidermy, antlers and spider web at a long forgotten pub.

Psychedelic laundry basket.

I found this little Lloyd Loom style wicker laundry basket at Princess May's car boot sale a few weeks ago. It's perfect for storing pieces of fabric, wool and sewing projects so I decided to give it a home and a psychedelic face lift.

Recent projects

I've been doing a lot of knitting and crocheting the last couple of months. I love to watch a film whilst knitting a pair of gloves or socks when it's dark and cold outside. At the moment I'm really feeling the "granny squares". I've made a pair of slippers already and I'm now working on a blanket for my bed, it's a big project so it will probably last me most of 2012.
I've finished my Liselotte Watkins cat too which I've written about in a previous blogpost. I've placed her right next to Mick Jagger and Andy Warhol so she's in good company.
I also picked up yet another street find last Sunday. This little house was abandoned on the pavement so I decided to give it a home. I do feel a little bit like a crazy doll house lady as I've now got two in my very tiny room, but at the same time I love having overly girly things. I'm planning on ripping out the carpets, paint it and  hang it on my wall as a shelf as my weekend project.
