Canterbury finds

Last weekend me and Ben took the train to Canterbury to visit his parents and their two lovely dogs Biggles and Dusty.
We spent Saturday day in the town centre visiting the cathedral, doing a spot of shopping and drinking a lot of coffee.
As much as I enjoy London it's always nice to get away over a weekend to just relax and gather energy.

Canterbury Cathedral

Ben, still with a slight goggle tan from when we went skiing in the French Alps a few weeks ago .

Dusty looking adorable..

I also picked up a few bits, as per usual - my weakness for home-ware and ornaments is still intact..
We went to a massive car boot sale early on the Sunday morning and I saw so many things that I wanted to bring home with me..
But instead was sensible and only bought things for my Etsy shop that I'm in the process of setting up.

This teapot is called  " Harlequin" and was made circa 1983 by Andy & Tamsin..

A vintage "Fauna" Jug by Eastgate pottery of a fawn resting under a tree.

1960's silver plated cat ring holder by SEBA.
My grandmother used have a similar one and this kitten really reminds me of her..

I also found this 1950's Stratton compact, perfect to keep in your bag for when you need to touch up your eyeliner or lipstick.

Do message me if you want to enquire regarding any of the items ♥
I will put up a link for my web shop when it's up and running.
Good night and good evening x

Active Display, Beyond Retro Soho

I work as a visual merchandiser at Beyond Retro's Soho store.
Every month there's a different theme in the shop's which means that all the displays are changed to match the current theme. It's a really fun and creative job ,but also challenging at times as you're working with vintage and second hand items rather then a set collection, so you never know what you've got to work with for each display.

This month's theme is called "Active" and is a mix of sports fashion, New York based artist Keith Harings 1980's graffiti work and graphic patterns, using a pallet of black and white's and washed out grey's and blue's.
To achieve this look we layered different textures such as leather, knitwear, chiffon and denim to create a slightly oversized silhouette.
Here's some pictures of my front of store display in Soho.
Come in, pick up a bargain and have a look in person if you're in the area ♥

Cartoon time..

As I'm a 60's girl at heart I thought it would be fun to see what I would look like as a Mad Men character.
I think it actually ended up looking like me with my trademark cup of coffee in my hand.
If you want to create your own character then you can do so here . Loving that massive beehive!

Quicksand

We Walk On Ice - Quicksand from Adam Williams on Vimeo.

Here's a video of an acoustic live session I did just before Christmas.
It's  We Walk on Ice performing Quicksand, shot by Scratch Disc Productions in my bedroom.
It's quite nice to see my things and little details highlighted and through someone else's eyes.
Look out for my little Nelson the Rabbit in the very beginning of the video, he's so fit..
